DR. ISPIRESCU is a double board-certified and fellowship-trained pain management physician. He trained with top experts in the field of pain medicine at UC San Diego, where he completed both his anesthesiology residency and pain management fellowship. Dr. Ispirescu is passionate about looking at the whole person when treating pain, utilizing a combination of the latest and most advanced therapies, along with a holistic, integrative approach. As part of his pain management fellowship, Dr. Ispirescu trained in all aspects of pain management and has developed expertise in spinal cord stimulation (SCS), ultrasound-guided injection therapy, as well as lifestyle medicine. He is also now offering the latest and most advanced treatments using stem cell and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections, promoting natural healing and restoration. This has allowed him to effectively treat some of the most challenging pain conditions, where others had given up.

As the founder of Idaho Pain Clinic and co-founder of Pain Clinic of Spokane, Dr. Ispirescu and his team have worked tirelessly to put together one of the region’s only true multi-disciplinary programs, incorporating the most advanced minimally-invasive pain management treatments, along with medication management, nutrition counseling, physical therapy, chiropractic care, massage therapy, and psychological services. Dr. Mazzilli is a double board-certified and fellowship-trained pain management physician. He trained in the Navy, beginning with Medical School at the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, MD.  He completed both his anesthesiology residency and pain management fellowship at Portsmouth Naval Hospital, VA.  After a 31-year career in the Navy, he worked for Kaiser Permanente for 5 years.

Dr. Mazzilli is passionate about helping people manage chronic pain by utilizing a multidisciplinary, multimodal approach.  He specifically enjoys performing interventions that help patients with their overall health maintenance, including exercise, physical therapy, maintaining ideal body weight, and being tobacco-free.  Dr. Mazzilli is excited to have recently moved to the beautiful Sandpoint area.  He enjoys spending time with his family participating in outdoor activities like skiing, hiking, and boating.  He also likes to play electric guitar.

Leslie is a family nurse practitioner who graduated from Graceland University in Missouri in 2011. She previously worked in St. Maries Idaho in family practice prior to joining Idaho Pain Clinic in June 2018. She grew up in northern Idaho in the St. Maries area, attended Lewis-Clark State College, and received her bachelor's in nursing science in 2001. After working as a floor nurse in St. Maries, she worked for Kootenai Health in the emergency department before transitioning into family practice.

Jonathan is a board-certified physician assistant who earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Biola University (‘09).  He spent the next few years working in high adventure, overseas, and youth education. After earning a wilderness EMT and EMT-B certification he became enamored with medicine and went back to school to become a PA. He graduated from UC Davis PA School in 2019 and spent the next year working in the hospital system with the interventional radiology and emergency medicine department plus working at an independent urgent care. He has since returned to Spokane with his family to work with Dr. Ispirescu and the team.
 
Jonathan is passionate about medical practice and serving the community. His wilderness leadership and youth work have translated to medical practice as he has a passion for walking with others through their challenges.  Working at Pain Clinic of Spokane, he hopes to help each patient thrive and be able to meet their goals in their day-to-day life. Jonathan is married with three children. He moved here from California but moved to the inland northwest where his wife is originally from. When time is available, which is rare at this junction in life, he can be found spending time with his family, playing music, backpacking, skiing, hiking, or just reading a good book.

Madison grew up in Yakima Washington. She moved to Spokane in 2012 to complete her undergraduate degree in biology at Whitworth University. During this time she was volunteering at the Union Gospel Mission and served on two mission trips to Haiti. She met her husband, Michael while shadowing in the Yakima Regional Emergency Department. They have been together for 8 years and have 3 children.

She knew while in medical school that she wanted to work in chronic pain because of her mom. Her mom is a chronic pain patient and is an inspiring example of what it means to keep fighting against all odds. Watching her mom battle pain, and knowing how difficult it was, gave her the passion to provide care in this field. Now as a provider, she hopes she can help find ways to give patients the best quality of life possible and provide them with hope.

Matthew is a board-certified Physician Assistant. Born and raised on the West Coast, Matthew earned a bachelor of science degree in clinical nutrition and started his career as an entrepreneur; eventually owning multiple successful businesses. After answering a lifelong call to a career in medicine, Matthew became a licensed EMT and worked in one of the busiest ERs on the West Coast, with his sights set on becoming a Physician Assistant. He later attended the PA Program at Duke University School of Medicine and began working in cardiothoracic surgery.  In his spare time, you can find Matthew enjoying woodworking, hiking, fly-fishing, archery, and spending time with his family.

Sarah is a board-certified Physician Assistant from New Jersey. She earned her Bachelor of Health Science from Philadelphia University in Pennsylvania.  She went on to graduate with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Thomas Jefferson University.

Sarah has worked in interventional pain medicine since 2021.  She loves to empower her patients by educating them about their pain and developing a treatment plan that they can understand. In her free time, she can be found on horseback, painting, or baking one of her famous loaves of bread.

Amber is a board-certified Physician Assistant who graduated from Medex Northwest, a division in the University of Washington school of medicine in 2020. Prior to becoming a Physician Assistant, she was a Registered Nurse working in skilled nursing and assisted living settings for roughly 7 years. She was raised in rural eastern Washington and has lived in the LC valley for the last 14 years. She is a member of the Washington Association of Physician Assistants and the American Association of Physician Assistants. In her free time, Amber enjoys spending time with family and friends, camping, fishing, and kayaking. 

Ashley is the Sandpoint Surgery Center Administrator. She also coordinates the Marketing for the Idaho Pain Clinic as a collective. She is responsible for managing the daily operations of the facilities' surgery center to streamline patient care. On a typical day, Ashley may be involved in organizing facility records, attending board meetings, keeping up with new practice regulations, and communicating with physicians and other surgical staff.

Wearing multiple hats, she also has superb influencing skills. Her ability to enhance any companies marketing campaigns is second to none. Ashley has extensive experience working in competitive marketing environments where only the toughest succeed. She not only has the ability to see those opportunities that others do not but also has the initiative needed to take advantage of them. She excels in building employee relations and morale.

Ashley is a young professional, passionate about her work. She has more than 10 combined years of experience in Health Care management and marketing. Raised in Ocean City, Md, Ashley attended Stephen Decatur High School but received her diploma from Mandeville High School in New Orleans, LA. Ashley received her associate's degree at Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury, MD with a specialty in business. Her newest accomplishment is a certification in behavioral therapy.

Ashley, her husband Alphonso, and their 2 daughters Addison and Adrianna live in Sandpoint, Idaho. She enjoys her time away from work by cooking and enjoying the great outdoors.
